Public Bulletin

2020

In exploring the urban landscape, I've come to view graffiti as a sort of public discourse. While learning to recognize individual artists and their respective signatures, I was also able to take note of the specific locations they chose to mark. Most of them tagged in overlapping areas, and in the process created a type of community bulletin board out of the urban infrastructure that surrounded them. In this series, I chose to highlight a collection of communications that has been gathered on electric utility boxes within the alleys of downtown Savannah, Georgia.
