While forming a continuing fascination with the urban environment surrounding me, I have also been able to deepen my appreciation of the chemical transience of matter. Materials such as steel or lead that seem so solid and immobile to the mind are fluid to the whims of time. Simple extended interaction with commonplace air and water can cause the most incredible changes to these seemingly 'tough' elements. In these images, I strove to display the incredible visual spectacle this transformation can create.
